The final 'Happy Hour Snacks' bows for 2024
Limited edition gift packs, the last pop-up and bye for a bit...
Toothpick Sunday topics:
I’m late this week
and
I have no excuse apart from i’ve been trying to create something relatively fun
and
I wanted to hold off until it was worth it
and
then combine it with information about the final pop-up event in Orange
and
am I excused?
and
who cares, this is my publication
I’ve been tossing up on doing this for a while. “Am I making myself busy for the sake of not knowing how to not be busy?”. Then I halt. Then start again and cover the floor in thread. Then halt again and catch up on current affairs. Then start again and stroke fabric. Anyway, I did do it. What a relief.
My hands had something to do, and now, you have something to protect your clothes.

LIMITED EDITION BIBS X HAPPY HOUR SNACK GIFT PACKS.
The amount of prototypes has been overkill, but necessary. Parading around in front of the mirror, asking myself more existential questions like “would I actually wear this at a long lunch in December?”
Yes, actually, I would.
Here’s the breakdown, so it’s clear for me, and for you:
The bibs are apart of a limited edition gift packs sold alongside the book (I can write a message inside, if you want), and this very special chilli oil. All for $80 (plus postage).
Make it personal and pick from these four self-saucing words to have embroidered on your bib: ‘ew’, ‘gross’, ‘yuck’ and ‘slob’. We’re going for radical acceptance.
Then I want you to cover the bib in statements stains, making tomato-sauce/wine/oil/ questionable thick goo the feature. Each a symbol of another meal that you disgustingly enjoyed, and saved your sociable clothes from.
It’s a smart gift.

One more thing, and the final thing (in many ways)- the last Happy Hour Snacks pop-up event of the year! And it’s at a winery. Absolutely, incredibly, perfectly, fitting.

The wine is made by Nadja and Steve, and it’s is award-winning. They’re also on the most recent cover of Halliday Wine Companion Magazine, and you will get to meet them.
Until then, I have to log off. Have you noticed how chaotic these newsletters have become? It’s because they are, I am. And I need to learn how to not always have my foot on the accelerator. So, I’m going to Sri Lanka, with just books and bathers. I might pick up a pen, but I’m trying this thing where I don’t put pressure on myself.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
